I just had a pretty random question...I'd like to start taking yoga classes at my school (we get free access to the gym they have there), and I know they teach yoga, but I was wondering how I could start Yoga classes if I"m not going to have an interpreter, but I'll be attending? Does anyone have any suggestions and/or ideas?
I can talk, but with a very heavy accent. (this might seem like a rude question, but I know people ask this, so no worries!) I tend to communicate better in handwriting or on 1-to-1 personal communication level for out of academic classes.

You could perhaps let the instructor know of your situation at the beginning of the class so she can be more aware of your postures and come and correct you if you need it. Good luck!
1I agree with the advice above. Have fun!
2I knew there was a market to deaf yoga! I'm in school to be an ASL interpreter and also happen to love yoga.
If you happen to be in San Diego- I could help you out
if not- just talk with the instructor. Yoga teachers tend to be a little more helpful than other types... something about understanding that different people have different needs and a general willingness to help others practice.
much luck!
