Hey!
So I'm just starting into the yoga scene. I've had a private lesson from one of my friends who is a yoga instructor and I LOVED it. I was wondering if you guys could suggest a good yoga DVD that I can start practicing with. I'm sort of intimidated by the thought of going to a class until I feel I have some clue as to what I am doing.
I figured this was the best place to get some feedback.
Thank you!!!

Hey there! I have not ever bought a DVD. But I like to do yoga to a couple of TV shows - Namaste Yoga on FitTV and Inhale on Oxygen, and I have made some DVD's of those shows to use at other times.
1I found trying out with a DVD a couple o times to be a great help before going to my first class, to get my confidence up and give me the basics for a couple of poses.
I tried a couple of DVD's but found "Yoga for dummies", with the awesome Sara Ivanhoe to be the best. It's has a simple, no-nonsense approach, and takes time to explain each pose in detail, rather than rushing through a sequence assuming you already know what your doing.
Here's a youtube clip!

While beautiful and inspiring to watch, in my opinion the fast pace of Namaste yoga will just leave you confused if you try to follow it as a beginner.
